Introduction of this site visit:
The Port of Hastings Corporation look forward to hosting delegates from AuWE 2025 for a boat and tour of the proposed site for the Victorian Renewable Energy Terminal.

The Port of Hastings has been selected by the Victorian Government as the preferred location for the establishment of the Victorian Renewable Energy Terminal - a dedicated assembly port to support the construction of Victoria's first offshore wind farms along the Victorian coast.

The Terminal is proposed to be developed at the Old Tyabb Reclamation Area (OTRA), and the adjacent marine waters within the port precinct and between Esso’s Long Island Point liquid berth and BlueScope Steel wharves.

The site tour will include an introduction from the project team to provide details on the important role the Victorian Renewable Energy Terminal is to set to play in receiving, storing and assembling offshore wind components before they are transported to offshore wind farms off the Victorian coast for installation.

Delegates will be taken by boat, and by bus to see both the marine and landside of the proposed site, as well as learn about some of the other existing assets that the Port of Hastings Corporation is responsible for managing.
